Kitty Conde’s students follow a Praise, Question, Suggest (PQS) protocol (EL Education, 2017) to respond to works-in-process (see Chapter 3 of Studio Thinking from the Start). Students follow criteria and work with a partner to present artwork, listen to, and respond to each other. This enables them to envision next steps to revise and complete their work.
